Arsenal duo sign new contracts

Denilson and Nicklas Bendtner have signed new long-term contracts with Arsenal.

Brazilian midfielder Denilson made more appearances than any other player for the Gunners last season while Bendtner was the Premier League's top goalscorer aged 21 or under.

"My development since I joined back in 2006 has really pleased me, and I just want to build on last season's performances," said 21-year-old Denilson.

"I am convinced that with everyone working together we'll be able to achieve great things."

Bendtner, also 21, said: "I've been here for five years now, and my development both on and off the pitch as a player and person is thanks to manager Arsene Wenger and the team here."
