Arsenal will look to get their Premier League title bid back on track when they host Brighton at Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners were knocked off top spot after their defeat at Aston Villa last weekend but a win will take them back above Liverpool ahead of their clash with Manchester United.

Mikel Arteta was able to rest Bukayo Saka and a host of key players for Tuesday’s Champions League dead-rubber against PSV.

Brighton booked a spot in the Europa League knockout stage on Thursday and, while they have inconsistent in recent weeks, Roberto De Zerbi’s side are likely to provide a stern test.

Arsenal vs Brighton is scheduled for a 2pm GMT kick-off today, Sunday, December 17, 2023.

The match will take place at Emirates Stadium.

TV channel and live stream: In the UK, the game will not be televised live after it was not selected for broadcast. It was initially due to be played during the Saturday 3pm blackout but was moved due to Brighton's European commitments on Thursday night.

Free highlights: Sky Sports' YouTube channel posts Premier League highlights shortly after full-time whereas BBC One will broadcast Match of the Day 2 for an extended replay at 10.30pm.

Arsenal vs Brighton team news

Arteta is expected to bring plenty of his big names back for the game after most of them played minimal parts on Tuesday.

David Raya is set to replace Aaron Ramsdale in goal, while all of Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Jesus will almost certainly feature.

Gabriel Martinelli is also set to make his return, with Arteta confirming the Brazilian has recovered from illness.

For Brighton, Danny Welbeck will be assessed for the meeting with his former side. Joel Veltman could come in at right-back.
