Arsenal loanee Jack Wilshere has been handed the player of the month prize for November at Bournemouth.

Wilshere received 71 per cent of the vote from supporters, beating Chelsea's Nathan Ake, despite playing only two of the club’s three games last month – he was ineligible to feature against his parent club in the 3-1 defeat.

Though he has yet to provide an assist or goal in 12 Premier League appearances this season Wilshere has proven to be a fine addition for Bournemouth and played a crucial role in his side’s 4-3 win over Liverpool last week.

"His quality on the ball, his technical ability, is second to none and I think he is so comfortable he's made us a totally different team with the ball," his manager Eddie Howe said of Wilshere last month.

"What's pleasantly surprised me has been his mentality, his attitude to training, his ability to mould himself to the team, to fit into that team ethic that we have.

"His defensive performances have been of the highest class, so I've been really, really pleased with him and it's been great to work with him."

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he intends to offer Wilshere an extension on his Arsenal contract, which expires at the end of next season. Talks are expected to begin in January.
