Arsenal mascot makes the grade

Arsenal youngster Nico Yennaris could complete an incredible double when the Gunners face Coventry in the Capital One Cup at Emirates Stadium tomorrow.

The versatile 19-year-old, who is expected to be in Arsene Wenger’s squad for the third-round tie, was also involved when the Sky Blues last travelled south to face the Gunners.

Aged just seven, Nico was Arsenal’s mascot on September 16, 2000 when goals from Sylvain Wiltord and Paolo Vernazza secured a 2-1 win at Highbury.
