Arsenal XI vs Leicester: Latest team news and lineup - Partey, Aubameyang and Lacazette start; no Willian

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang returns to the starting XI against Leicester City tonight after coming off the bench to score the winner against Rapid Vienna.

Aubameyang struck 16 minutes before full-time to spare Arsenal’s blushes on Thursday and kick their Europa League campaign off with a 2-1 win.

Mikel Arteta has made changes from that win in Austria, with Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin coming back in.

In midfield, Thomas Partey keeps his place after a fine full debut on Thursday, with Dani Ceballos also in alongside Granit Xhaka.

The Spaniard, like Willian, was injured for the trip to Vienna, but the Brazilian remains out.

View from the Emirates

This is arguably the team many Arsenal fans have been calling for. Arsenal look like they will line up in a 4-3-3, with new signing Thomas Partey making his first appearance here at Emirates Stadium.

He holds the key to this midfield and will look to run the show alongside Dani Ceballos and Granit Xhaka. It’s an exciting combination and one that looks very balanced.

Ahead of them is the front three and it is interesting to note Bukayo Saka is starting again. He is quickly becoming a regular for Mikel Arteta and this time he crops up on the right.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s return is, of course, timely after he scored the winner in midweek – but it will be interesting to see how Alexandre Lacazette fairs leading the line. He struggled in Austria.
