Sven Mislintat, Arsenal’s head of scouting, is being linked with a sensational exit from the club just over a year after arriving at the Emirates.

Reports on Tuesday claim that the 46-year-old is considering his future at the club, while the Independent reports that Bayern Munich are interested in his services.

Mislintat, famed for his brilliant work at Borussia Dortmund, was brought in by chief executive Ivan Gazidis in December 2017 as part of the club’s restructuring process ahead of Arsene Wenger’s anticipated departure the following summer.

The German’s impact was soon being heralded in north London with Arsenal signing Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, his former team-mate Henrikh Mkhitaryan (as part of the deal taking Alexis Sanchez to Man Utd) and Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos all arriving the following month.

Fast-forward 13 months and Mislintat has seen Gazidis depart for AC Milan, while new manager Unai Emery would appear to command a larger say then first envisaged on incomings at the Emirates.

Mislintat’s future will no doubt come up during a meeting between Arsenal fans and the club’s leading officials.

Managing director Vinai Venkatesham and head of football Raul Sanllehi will hold a “fans’ forum” ahead of Saturday’s Premier League derby with Chelsea.

As reported by Standard Sport on Tuesday, questions have been submitted in advance of the meeting at Emirates Stadium and we understand a range of topics will be discussed, including the Gunners’ self-sustainability model and owner Stan Kroenke’s desire to take fees out of the club.
