Arsenal's new £300million Adidas deal: How does it compare?

Standard Sport23 May 2019

Arsenal announced their largest ever kit deal on Monday morning, a partnership with Adidas worth a reported £300million over a five-year period.

At £60m-per-season, the deal is one of the most lucrative in world football, but how does it compare to some of the planet's biggest clubs?

Barcelona's current deal with Nike is the biggest around, with the American sportswear giant paying a whopping £120m-a-year to see Lionel Messi & co. decked out in their clobber.

El Classico rivals Real Madrid come in next, with their 20-year-long association with Adidas currently worth £106m.

Unsurprisingly, German company Adidas also have a colossal deal with the biggest club in their homeland, Bayern Munich, who pick up £85m every season.

Manchester United have the most lucrative arrangement of any English club at £75m, also with Adidas, while Chelsea's Nike deal is worth the same amount as Arsenal's.

However, the Gunners' new agreement is worth twice as much as Tottenham's current deal with Nike and three times as much as champions Manchester City's with the same company.
