Arsene Wenger believes Saturday's 2-2 draw with Tottenham in the north London derby could reignite Arsenal's title bid.

The Gunners salvaged a point at White Hart Lane courtesy of Alexis Sanchez's equaliser, despite having to play the majority of the second half with 10 men after Francis Coquelin's dismissal.

Wenger's side trail leaders Leicester by five points and are also three adrift of Spurs with just nine games left to play but the Frenchman believes the spirit his players showed against their fierce rivals will spur Arsenal on.

"Yes, I think it could," he told the Sun. "We came out of the game feeling that we had put on a performance and why not continue like that?

"We were really unlucky against Swansea, so you can feel sorry for yourself or respond straight away next game.

"That's why I think the group is healthy and there's a good mentality."

Arsenal have won just two of their last nine top-flight fixtures and face the likes of West Brom, Everton and Watford in their next three league games.

The Gunners also face Championship side Hull City in an FA Cup fifth-round replay on Tuesday night.
