Atletico Madrid v Chelsea: Thibaut Courtois and Arda Turan expected to play in Champions League semi-final

 

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone will a full squad to choose from in Tuesday's Champions League semi-final, first leg against Chelsea.

Playmaker Arda Turan has been declared fit to face Chelsea the La Liga leaders said on Sunday. The Turkey international has not featured since picking up a groin injury in the quarter-final, first leg against Barcelona on April 1.

A key figure in Atletico's success this season, Arda trained with his team mates at the Calderon stadium on Sunday.

Diego Costa, Atletico's prolific and powerful forward has recovered from the injury he sustained last weekend against Getafe when he collided with a goal post. Costa scored a late penalty in the 2-0 against Elche on Friday for his 27th La Liga goal of the season. The Spain international is expected to join Chelsea this summer.

Atletico are confident that that an agreement can be reached with Chelsea to allow goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to play against his parent club.
