Arsene Wenger revealed on Friday that contract talks have stalled with Bacary Sagna.

The defender’s current deal at Arsenal expires in the summer and he is yet to agree an extension despite reportedly being offered the three-year deal he is demanding.

“At the moment, talks are not progressing”, he said. “We know what we want from him, he knows what is on the table and that's where we are.

“Yes [I am less confident he will stay], the ball is not in our camp anymore, it is in his camp, and he needs to come back to us.”

Thomas Vermaelen is expected to be available having been a doubt earlier in the week but Kieran Gibbs has lost his race to recover from a hamstring problem while Abou Diaby is not match fit.
