Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele will be free to face Real Madrid in La Liga after it was confirmed on Friday that the Clasico will be moved to a new date.

The French forward was handed a two-match ban following his red card in the 4-0 win over Sevilla earlier this month and was set to miss Saturday's trip to Eibar and also the meeting with Los Blancos next weekend.

But the Spanish Football Federation has ruled that the Clasico will be played on a different date due to civil unrest and security issues in Catalonia following the sentencing of nine separatist leaders.

Barca and Madrid are now set to meet in December as the fixture is postponed and that means Dembele, bar an injury or a fresh suspension, will be free to play in the game against Real Madrid at Camp Nou.

As things stand, Dembele will now miss the game against Eibar and then the league game at home to Valladolid on October 29, which will be Barca's first fixture at Camp Nou since the jailing of the Catalan leaders earlier this week.

The 22-year-old will be eligible for the Champions League game away to Slavia Prague on Wednesday and will be available again in La Liga for the trip to Levante on November 2.
