Battle: Arsenal struggled to keep possession in Dortmund
GETTY
Standard Sport17 September 2014

Standard Sport assesses the individual performances from Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund at Westfalenstadion.

The hosts were vastly superior to Arsene Wenger’s team, and deservedly went in front just before half-time when Ciro Immobile raced through and fired past Wojciech Szczesny.

Three minutes after the interval Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang double the lead when he rounded the Arsenal keeper and squeezed a shot past Laurent Koscielny.

The scoreline would have been even more embarrassing for the Gunners if Henrikh Mkhitaryan had finished one of the many chances that fell his way, but in the end the Germans had to settle for a 2-0 win.
