Bradley Wright-Phillips double helps Charlton triumph 2-0 at Colchester

11 April 2012

Charlton remained top of League One last night after they won 2-0 at Colchester to maintain their 100% record after three games.

The Addicks, though, were being hotly pursued by Sheffield United who came from two goals down to beat Walsall 3-2.

Charlton went ahead through Bradley Wright-Phillips in the 13th minute, the striker's finish giving the goalkeeper no chance.

Wright-Phillips doubled the lead when he slotted home a quarter of an hour later from close range from Paul Hayes' header.
