Brighton vs Man City: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news and h2h results today

Manchester City will be eager for more goals as they travel to face Brighton this evening.

Pep Guardiola’s side were beaten by PSG in their second group game in Europe last month but bounced back with a thumping 5-1 win over Club Brugge on Tuesday evening and will be looking to carry that form back into the Premier League.

Brighton, meanwhile, were off to a flier this season but things have stalled in recent weeks as they first drew with Arsenal in a game they should have won and then failed to beat bottom side Norwich last weekend.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Brighton vs Manchester City is scheduled for a 5:30pm BST kick-off today - Saturday, October 23, 2021.

The match will take place at the Amex Stadium in Brighton.

Brighton vs Manchester City team news

City’s Ferran Torres remains sidelined following a fracture to his metatarsal sustained while away on international duty with Spain. He stands to miss between two and three months of action.

Raheem Sterling, once the darling of Guardiola, has played all 90 minutes just three times this season in all competitions and started on the bench in midweek.

He did however play every minute of the 2-0 win over Burnley and is expected to start here. The England star has indicated that he would consider a move away from the Etihad in search of regular football as he has found himself down the pecking order since the arrival of his national team-mate Jack Grealish.

Adam Webster faces a late fitness test for Brighton, but Danny Welbeck and Steven Alzate are both out.

Brighton vs Manchester City prediction

Brighton have beaten Leicester and drawn with Arsenal at home, and are good value for their impressive start so far, but this is a different echelon. City’s performance against the Belgian champions was ominous if you’re a fan of the Seagulls. And though Brighton would have to have a terrible day out to embarrass themselves, even their best will likely not be enough for a result.
