After a long night of celebration in Barcelona, the club’s players awoke to headlines that announced them “heroes” whose epic comeback against Paris Saint-Germain had achieved “the impossible”.

Brazilian Neymar, who scored twice on the night, partied with Lewis Hamilton, while Gerard Pique announced after the 6-5 aggregate win that “hospitals need to hire more nurses, a lot of love is going to be made tonight”.

In France, L’Equipe declared PSG conceding three goals in the last seven minutes to Luis Enrique’s team simply “unspeakable”.

Reflecting on his side’s achievement after the match, coach Enrique said it was a night that ‘no kid in Barcelona will ever forget’.
