Charlton move is fantastic for me, says No17 Cort

Charlton boss Chris Powell has made centre-back Leon Cort his 17th summer signing.

The former Crystal Palace and Stoke defender has signed from Burnley on a season's loan.

The 31-year-old, brother of former Newcastle and Wimbledon striker Carl, said: "It's a fantastic move for me. It's a club with real ambition."

Meanwhile, Charlton goalkeeper Rob Elliot is reported to be in talks with Newcastle.
