Guus Hiddink expects four of his leading first teamers to shake off injury concerns after a bruising start to his time as Chelsea interim manager.

Games against Watford and Manchester United have given Hiddink a challenging introduction on his second tenure at Stamford Bridge, brought about after a disastrous first half of the season under Jose Mourinho prompted relegation fears to grip Chelsea.

Chelsea picked up two points from those games along with a series of knocks to key players. Gary Cahill is suffering an ankle problem whilst Willian, Oscar and Eden Hazard all received knocks.

All four are set to return in time for Sunday's visit to Selhurst Park where Chelsea take on a bullish Crystal Palace keen to continue their challenge for a top four place.

“Gary Cahill didn't train on Wednesday, which means he has a little problem,” Hiddink confirmed.

“We had two tough games against Watford and Manchester United. The physical intensity was high in both games but we didn't have big damage.

“Oscar was a bit hurt after a challenge. Willian got some tackles, so did Eden. There was intensity in these games but they have been recovering so they are okay.”

Chelsea will also welcome back Diego Costa, who was on the sidelines for the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford, from his one-match suspension.

Palace will be without Yohan Cabaye for their match with the champions after the midfielder picked up his fifth booking on the season. That leaves Alan Pardew even shorter on attacking options, with Yannick Bolasie, Bakary Sako, Connor Wickham and Dwight Gayle all injured.
