Chelsea manager Antonio Conte insists N'Golo Kante's arrival has given him a welcome selection problem

Antonio Conte admits the arrival of N'Golo Kante will give him a major problem at Chelsea, but he wouldn't have it any other way.

Kante will join up with the Chelsea squad for the first time later this week having agreed a £32m transfer from Leicester.

The France international was given extended time off following Euro 2016, but will arrive at the club's training base in the USA to start fighting for a first team place.

With Conte already having a minimum of Nemanja Matic, Cesc Fabregas, John Obi Mikel, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Oscar to choose from in central midfield, competition for places is going to be intense.

Conte said: "When you have N’Golo Kante, Cesc, and so on, it’s not easy to choose. But I want to have this problem.

"N’Golo is an important player and we bought him for this reason. He played a fantastic season with Leicester.

"He played a good Euro 2016. I can’t wait to see him and work with him and transfer my idea of football to him.

"He was a target of our market. I am pleased the club took this player and he is fantastic. In a great team, it is important to see the right attitude in all the players."
