Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante has been nominated for the 2017 Ballon d'Or.
France Football has released the first five names to feature on their 30-man shortlist, with Neymar, Luka Modrić, Paulo Dybala and Marcelo joining Kante.
Five further names will be unveiled at midday before four further announcements across the afternoon and into the evening, when the full list of nominees will be made available.
Kante has been named on the list after winning a second straight Premier League title in 2017. The France international moved to Stamford Bridge from Leicester in the summer of 2016 and helped the Blues win a second title in three seasons.
The 26-year-old was named PFA Players Player of the Year in April for his contribution to Chelsea's title charge, but already faces stiff competition for global honours.
Marcelo and Modric both played key roles as Real Madrid, who also won La Liga, became the first side to win back-to-back Champions League crowns.

Dybala was on the losing side in the Cardiff final, but helped Juventus to the Serie A title. Meanwhile, Neymar enjoyed an impressive year for Barcelona and Brazil before joining PSG for a world record transfer fee in the summer.
