Antonio Conte has called on the Premier League to never arrange a fixture to coincide with a transfer deadline ever again.

The Chelsea coach has seen his preparations ahead of the match at home against Bournemouth tomorrow disrupted by speculation involving players both coming or going.

Striker Michy Batshuayi wants to leave on loan with Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla and Tottenham all possible destinations, while Conte is trying to get another striker to replace him.

Conte faced a similar problem 12 months ago when Chelsea played at Liverpool and Bournemouth were attempting to sign Nathan Ake and Asmir Begovic.

When asked by Standard Sport about playing a game in the final hours of the window, he replied: “To have a match when there is a deadline is not right. You can have this situation (where a player is) half and half. In the future whoever decides the fixtures must reflect and prepare for this situation.

“Now I have to face this situation, but there are many coaches who don’t like having a match when there is the deadline of the market.”
