Paul Pogba has suggested he could snub reported interest from Chelsea and other European clubs to stay at Juventus.
The France star was thought to be one of Jose Mourinho's main targets as the summer transfer window approached its end, with Juventus' director general Giuseppe Marotta later insisting the midfielder was not for sale - but could cost interested clubs more than £73million to buy in the future.
And despite interest from Chelsea and other European powerhouses such as Barcelona, Pogba has now expressed his happiness in Turin and admitted he could spend the foreseeable future with last season's Champions League finalists.
"It was not the right time for me to go, and I could very well remain at Juventus," the 22-year-old told French TV programme Telefoot.
"Right now, I'm still happy to be there. We will finish the season and then we'll see again.
"Has a Barca deal been struck in January? I don't know, for now I'm at Juventus and I'm focused only on them because we haven't started well. As for the rest, we'll see."
Marotta admitted recently that Juventus had received offers for Pogba's services from several clubs, but the side were unwilling to sell him after losing the likes of Arturo Vidal and Carlos Tevez this summer.
"As we want to win, we have decided to keep hold of a player as important as Pogba, although we have had offers from some very important clubs," Marotta said.
"In the future he could be worth more than 100 million euros. We've lost the likes of Pirlo, Tevez and Vidal, three irreplaceable players, against our will and replacing them isn't easy.
"Directors, managers and players come and go, but clubs, victories and their successes to come remain."
