Chelsea striker Diego Costa believes it is "important" he is not Antonio Conte's only attacking option this season.
Costa's individual form has been integral to Chelsea's collective success in the first half of the campaign.
The Spanish striker wanted to leave Chelsea in the summer but has scored 14 goals in 18 appearances to help fire the Blues to the top of the Premier League table.
Costa has thrived as part of a front three, feeding off of the chances created by the pacey wide men fielded either side of him.
Costa is undoubtedly Conte's first-choice centre forward but the 28-year-old has hailed the importance of his side's variety of options as Chelsea close in on Arsenal's record for consecutive Premier League victories.
"Things are coming out well for me this season," he told Chelsea's official website.
"But it’s very important that the team has other players, like Michy [Batshuayi], who can do well, and that the manager knows he has good players that can replace me."
Batshuayi was overlooked when Costa was suspended for the recent victory over Bournemouth, with Eden Hazard preferred up front.
The Belgian is yet to start a Premier League game this season and Conte has echoed Costa's sentiments by praising the importance of his entire squad.
"Diego, together with his team-mates, is playing very well. Don’t forget we are a tea," the Italian said after his side's victory over Stoke.
"That’s important, to show you are together when you win and when you lose.
"I’m pleased when I see my striker scoring a goal, but I’m also pleased if [Gary] Cahill scores a goal," he added.
