Croatia vs Spain lineups: Starting XIs, confirmed team news and injury latest for Nations League final today

Marco Asensio has been brought into the Spain starting line-up for tonight’s Nations League final against Croatia.

Rodrigo Moreno drops out of the XI after a minor injury issue, although his poor display against Italy in the semi-final could have already pushed him to the bench.

Fabian Ruiz also comes into the team, replacing Mikel Merino in the midfield.

Joselu is also among the substitutes despite his winner against the Azzurri, with Jesus Navas preferred to Dani Carvajal at right-back once again.

Josip Sutalo was an injury worry for Croatia ahead of the clash in Rotterdam, but makes the line-up alongside Martin Erlic who is favoured over Domagoj Vida.

Luka Modric, at 37 years old, lasted 119 minutes on Wednesday but will again lead out his country as he looks to finally win silverware on the international stage.

He will be joined by trusty pair Mateo Kovacic and Marcelo Brozovic in midfield.

Croatia XI: Livakovic; Juranovic, Erlic, Sutalo, Perisic; Modric, Brozovic, Kovacic; Pasalic, Kramaric, Ivanusec.

Spain XI: Simon; Navas, Le Normand, Laporte, Alba; Fabian, Rodri; Asensio, Gavi, Pino; Morata.
