Steve Parish wants to use new American investment to help Crystal Palace tap into the US market.

Parish is on the verge of finalising a deal with Josh Harris and his partner David Blitzer that he says will make the club “as strong as it has been for a 100 years”. The deal should be completed before Christmas and Parish wants to use it to help Palace capitalise on the growing popularity of the Premier League in the States.

“The world began here in football three years ago so to everybody here we are just a Premier League club,” said the Palace chairman. “We have managed to erase the rest of our history! There is a real buzz in the US and we need to capitalise on it. We will try to grab our share of support.”
