Crystal Palace drone footage shows how Project Restart phase one training sessions work

Return: Crystal Palace are back in group training as part of phase one of Project Restart
Crystal Palace TV

Footage from Crystal Palace has demonstrated how phase one of the Premier League's 'Project' Restart is working in practice.

Palace have secured the use of the Kent Cricket training ground next door to their own facility in order to ensure that players and staff can arrive, train and leave in a safe and compliant manner.

Players, who park at the cricket facility, must fill in a health questionnaire and have their temperature checked before getting out of their cars each day.

The daily checks are supplemented by twice weekly coronavirus tests, administered by independent staff, with the results taking 24 hours to be returned to club doctors.

N contact is permitted during training sessions at present, with groups of up to five players allowed to work together, still maintaining social distancing.

Players bring their own kit and drinks to training and will only receive medical treatment on site if absolutely necessary, before driving home to shower and wash their own kit.

Protocols for phase two of Project Restart are set to be approved by the Government in the coming days before being presented to Premier League clubs next week.
