Crystal Palace manager Paul Hart believes his players must be "revered" should they beat West Brom this evening and secure their Coca Cola Championship future.
Sheffield Wednesday's defeat by Cardiff on Saturday means Palace can avoid the drop with three points against the promoted Baggies at Selhurst Park.
It would be a significant achievement for a club who lost manager Neil Warnock in the wake of the move into administration and attendant 10-point penalty.
Hart said: "If these players manage to stay up it's a feat they should be revered for.
"It's massive. We've had a schoolboy on the bench, terrible injuries and 10 points deducted."
Palace hope to welcome back strikers Calvin Andrew and Alan Lee for the clash.
Andrew missed last Saturday's 1-1 draw at Derby as he was still feeling the effects of a clash of heads the week before which left QPR defender Damion Stewart with a fractured skull.
Lee has been struggling with a groin injury recently but was back in training this week.
Left-back Lee Hills will miss the rest of this season and a large chunk of the next after suffering a cruciate injury at Pride Park.
Hart will be hoping West Brom take their eye off the ball having already sealed promotion to the Barclays Premier League.
Indeed, Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo is already planning for next season.
