Mamadou Sakho remains a doubt for Crystal Palace as they take on Premier League champions Manchester City on Saturday.

Sahko returned from knee surgery earlier this season, starting games against Tottenham and Wolves, but has since missed both wins over Norwich and West Ham with a strain.

Manager Roy Hodgson had hoped to have the former Liverpool defender back following the international break, though he is yet to return to full first-team training.

Fortunately for Hodgson, Palace are well stocked at the back. While Gary Cahill has settled seamlessly in south London, Martin Kelly has deputised superbly for Sakho and James Tomkins, a nailed on starter last season, remains an option.

Palace go into the game sixth in the table, just two points behind Pep Guardiola's side, and a draw this weekend would see them match their best ever start to a Premier League season after nine games.
