Dagenham boss hits back in row with Megson

John Still has refuted Sheffield Wednesday manager Gary Megson's claim that he influenced the referee at half-time of Dagenham and Redbridge's 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Megson was unhappy that Still left the field with referee Steve Rushton and said: "Managers aren't supposed to talk to referees at half-time - let alone put an arm round his shoulder and walk 40 yards. John's an old fox and knows what he's doing."

But Daggers boss Still defended his actions, claiming: "Gary can be under what impression he likes - he wasn't there, he wouldn't know."
