Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has been crowned the club's player's player of the year for the second season in a row.

The Spain international, who also made it into the PFA team of the year and the six-man shortlist for the PFA player of the year award, has kept 10 clean sheets behind a shaky United backline this season.

His stellar performances have not gone unnoticed and he has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer but he gave no hints about his future and praised his team-mates after collecting the gong.

"I want to say thank you to my team-mates, they have been fantastic this season and I love them. We have a great dressing room and I would like to say thank you very much," he said on United's official website.

That feeling was reciprocated by a number of the United players who took to Twitter to congratulate De Gea.
