Jose Mourinho says he has had no indication that Dele Alli will leave Tottenham before Monday’s transfer deadline.
Tottenham remain reluctant to allow Alli to join Paris Saint-Germain on loan in the final days of the window despite his desire to be reunited with former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Alli has not started in the Premier League since the opening day of the season and last featured on January 10 against eighth-tier Marine in the FA Cup.
PSG could make a late move to sign the midfielder in the final hours of the window but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is concerned about losing a talented member of the squad.
Asked for an update on Alli’s future after Tottenham lost 1-0 at Brighton on Sunday, Mourinho said: “I never had an update to give. I always told that I did not have any indication that he was leaving. So for me there is no update to give."
Asked if there is a likelihood of any other activity at Tottenham before the deadline, Mourinho said: “I do not think so. Of course during the day I am disconnected from everything apart from the game but I don’t think so.”
