Did Crystal Palace's Delaney foul Liverpool striker Benteke? Standard Sport's poll of the day

Crystal Palace's winless streak was extended to 12 Premier League games in bitter circumstances yesterday afternoon.

Alan Pardew's side appeared to be heading towards their first win since mid-December after Joe Ledley put them in front against Liverpool but were pegged back by Roberto Firmino's fortuitous equaliser.

The south Londoners then squandered a point in the dying seconds when Damien Delaney was adjudged to have fouled Reds striker Christian Benteke inside the box.

There was minimal contact between the pair, with Delaney pulling out of the challenge before catching the Belgain, but referee Andre Marriner did not hesitate to award the spot kick, which Benteke duly dispatched.

The decision has proven to be controversial and Pardew, whose side are nine points above the relegation zone, cut a frustrated figure during his post-match press conference.

"He [Benteke] certainly made a big meal of it," an angry Pardew told the BBC.

"If it had been us, we would not have got it. Damien pulls out, the follow through of his knee gets it. That's tough."

But what do you think? Should the penalty have been awarded? Have your say in Standard Sport's poll below:
