Don’t sell too many, pleads Neil Warnock

Hot property: Victor Moses is a player with "wonderful potential," says Newcastle boss Chris Hughton

Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has confirmed Victor Moses will be sold this weekend and pleaded with the club's administrators not to cash in on too many of the other members of his squad.

Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle, who has been at Selhurst Park since the start of the week, is trying to sell some of the club's best talent to pay off part of the debt owed to the creditors.

Moses, who was ordered not to play against Newcastle in midweek by Guilfoyle, will not feature against Peterborough tomorrow either as the striker's transfer away from Selhurst Park is expected to be completed.

Warnock, who confirmed he is staying in charge of the club, met with Guilfoyle for talks yesterday and urged him to keep other sales to a minimum.

He said: "The talks went well. I'm aware he's got to sell more players. I'm not sure how many, it's a case of who will buy them. You can't sell if no one comes in for them.

"But he is going to have to be careful. We only have 20 professionals and if he sold a lot we will be in trouble because we can't bring anyone in.

"Victor won't play again for us now. I've not given up the prospect of a Premier League club coming in for him yet. I'm making a couple of calls myself but Newcastle and West Brom are the favourites.

"The doom and gloom isn't over. Until we know what is happening with the club there will always be a shadow hanging over us."
