Two weeks from now we will be entering the final chaotic hours of the January transfer window but for now much business remains to be completed by the Premier League’s biggest sides.

As ever Edinson Cavani’s name has found itself linked with Arsenal and Manchester United, but on this occasion his current club may not be so reluctant to sell.

Reports from France today claim that Laurent Blanc has become increasingly frustrated with the 28-year-old and that his future at Paris Saint-Germain remains in the balance.

Earlier this month Blanc confirmed he had held talks with Cavani over his behaviour and has since said he is “not here to please him”.

Arsenal were keen to sign the striker in the summer, though Olivier Giroud’s fine form may have seen their interest cool.

However were he to be made available by his current side few clubs would not consider a move.
