Crystal Palace and Wales midfielder Joe Ledley has postponed his wedding, scheduled for the day before the Euro 2016 final.

Ledley, who broke his leg a little over a month before the tournament began, was due to marry Ruby May Ridgeway on Saturday July 9, but Wales remarkable run to the semi-finals has forced him to delay his nuptials.

His international team-mate Gareth Bale said: "He's obviously booked it a long time ago, before qualifying.

“These things do happen to pop up. The boys are fully focused on the task in hand and I'm sure they'll re-organise stuff.”

The 3-1 victory over Belgium has not only inconvenienced Ledley. Defender Chris Gunter is set to miss his brother's wedding in Mexico on Thursday.

Wales face Portugal in the competition’s semi-final having already achieved the best finish at a major tournament in the country’s history. Both Aaron Ramsey and Ben Davies will be unavailable to manager Chris Coleman after picking up their second yellow cards of the tournament in Friday’s win.
