Frank Lampard's happy to get personal with Carlo Ancelotti

Worthy successor: Frank Lampard has compared Carlo Ancelotti with Guus Hiddink

Frank Lampard has revealed the reason behind Carlo Ancelotti's good start to his reign as Chelsea manager - he's got the same style as predecessor Guus Hiddink.

The Italian had a tough act to follow after replacing interim coach Hiddink in the summer. The Dutchman guided Chelsea to an FA Cup Final win and the Champions League semi-finals during his three months in charge last term.

But Lampard said: "He's similar to Hiddink. Guus was a fantastic man-manager and Ancelotti seems very good with people.

"He doesn't get involved too much with what's going on outside of the football but as soon as you come into training, he has a chat with you, asks how you're feeling and how you're training. He's got that personal touch which is important to feel as a player."

Jose Bosingwa (knee), Ashley Cole (ankle), Yury Zhirkov (knee) and John Mikel Obi (knee) are all struggling to face Bolton tomorrow.
