French presenter Doria Tillier fulfilled her promise to broadcast naked live on TV on Wednesday after France qualified for the World Cup.
Tillier boldly bet against her country after their 2-0 defeat to Ukraine in the first leg, and was left with no option after Didier Deschamps’ side fought back from two goals down to progress 3-2 on aggregate.
The 27-year-old former model, host of the show Le Grand Journal, admirably kept to her word but not in the way some might have hoped.
Millions of viewers had flocked to Canal+ to see if she kept her word, and the majority may have felt short-changed by what happened next.
Doria had initially said she would be 'a poil' – which translates to ‘naked’ in French - but in fact presented the weather from Poil, a village near to the French capital Paris.
She set up a camera some distance away from where she was located, before running through a field in the nude screaming and shouting words in French, while the weather was shown on a split-screen.
