Georges-Kevin Nkoudou tries and fails to troll Tottenham on Twitter

Georges-Kevin Nkoudou came off the bench to help Tottenham secure a 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League tonight - and was clearly impressed with his own performance.

Heung-min Son proved to be the matchwinner for Mauricio Pochettino's side - again - when he swept home past Igor Akinfeev to secure all three points for the north Londoners.

The South Korean was crowned man of the match after netting his sixth goal of the season but Nkoudou, who has acquired a reputation as a bit of a joker on social media, couldn't resist blowing his own trumpet in the wake of the result, which helped Spurs climb to second place in Group E.

When Tottenham's official account asked their followers what they thought of Nkoudou, whose pace proved to be a valuable weapon in the closing stages of the game in Russia, they probably didn't expect the player to respond.

Plenty of fans piped up to offer their opinion on the Frenchman and the man himself quipped that he appears to be a "player in the making" and evidently believes that he is a promising asset for his new side.

However, Nkoudou's cheeky comment did not go unnoticed by his Spurs teammate Jan Vertonghen, whose choice of emoji suggested he felt the 21-year-old's comment was cringeworthy.

Either way, Nkoudou is well worth a follow.
