Tottenham’s move for Marseille’s Georges-Kevin Nkoudou has been held up because chairman Daniel Levy is trying to get a reduction in the £11.2million fee.

A deal had been agreed for the 21-year-old winger which would see Clinton Njie go the other way on loan.

However, that deal was finalised with Marseille president Vincent Labrune but he has since left and Levy is now trying to get the price reduced.

Marseille have demanded that Levy go back to the original agreed price but the Tottenham supremo has so far refused.

However, at this stage it appears that a deal could still be done particularly as Nkoudou is keen to move to White Hart Lane and Njie’s belief that a temporary switch is the best decision for him at this moment.

Reports this morning in France even suggested that Nkoudou could join Spurs on loan with an option to buy.
