Harry Redknapp still in the running for Diego Forlan

Diego Forlan and Matthew Upson remain targets for Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp as he seeks to reshape his squad.

Redknapp has been interested in Uruguay striker Forlan since last summer's World Cup but could not agree a deal with Atletico Madrid either then or in January.

The 32-year-old's high wages mean chairman Daniel Levy will have to be persuaded of the former Manchester United player's enduring value.

Centre-back Upson is a different case as he is a free agent after leaving West Ham.

Striker Antonio Pedroza is set to join from Mexican club Jaguares. Steven Caulker has gone on loan from Spurs to Swansea for a season.
