'I'd rather have Alexis Sanchez than Arsene Wenger' - Arsenal fans react to Chilean's likely exit

The news that Alexis Sanchez is increasingly likely to leave Arsenal comes as a bitter blow to the Gunners faithful, who thought the days of waving farewell to their star players were long past them.

But just as with Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie Sanchez has seemingly come to the conclusion that his ambitions no longer match those at the Emirates, with Juventus and Paris St Germain among those ready to swoop.

A bust-up with team-mates was the conclusion of several months of frustration on and off the pitch from Sanchez, who has fought in vain as Arsenal have slipped out of the title race and almost certainly out of Europe.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has also received criticism for his handling of Sanchez, particularly his decision to bench him against Liverpool and then bring him on after 45 minutes with Arsenal 2-0 down, and has borne the brunt of fan frustration over recent months.
