Krystian Bielik has revealed that his ‘dream’ of playing for Arsenal has been aided by the nurturing guidance of Jack Wilshere and Robert Pires.
Bielik joined the Gunners from Legia Warsaw back in January and the 17-year-old has since adjusted to life in England.
The defensive midfielder moved to Arsenal after catching the eye of Arsene Wenger a year ago during his breakthrough season with Legia Warsaw, in which Bielik played five times domestically and even appeared in the Europa League.
The Polish Under-17 international, who is yet to make a full senior appearance for the Gunners, knows that time is on his side and paid tribute to Wilshere and Pires for helping him acclimatise to English football.
Bielik told the club's website: "When I started I had individual training sessions with Robert Pires, he gave me a lot of advice and helped my regain my fitness because I had been out for so long.
"I also trained with Jack Wilshere who was very nice to me. In my first week I saw some of the best players in the world and that was an amazing experience. Now I see them every day, how they play on the pitch and how they train, and it really helps me."
Bielik is a regular starter in Arsenal’s Under-21 side and now feels confident that he can begin to assert himself amongst Arsenal’s world class squad this season.
"Playing for Arsenal is a dream but I know that I’m here to learn more," Bielik added.
"I want to show everybody that I’m a good player and that I can train with the first team so that one day I can prove that I can play for the first team."
