On a night of Champions League football it was a goal from Welling United's Joe Healy which stole the plaudits.

Healy was playing for the Conference National outfit, who were beaten 3-1 by Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup second round on Saturday, in a league match against Grimsby on Tuesday evening, and with the scores goalless, he took it upon himself to change his side’s fortunes with a sublime piece of skill.

Receiving the ball in the area after anticipating that the defender would mistime his interception, Healy chests the ball, flicks the second touch over the defender before smashing home from 12 yards out with a superb bicycle kick.

Sadly, his efforts to win the match were to be in vain, with Grimsby grabbing a late equaliser to end the game 1-1, but the 27-year-old ‘s stock would have surely risen after his goal went viral with fans on twitter hailing it as one of the best ever seen in non league football.

His teammate, striker Ross Lafayette said: "‘Only Healy could score an outrageous goal like that! Unreal! It actually made me feel sick! "
