Joe Ledley is not ruling out dropping down to the Championship after being released by Crystal Palace.

The Welsh midfielder made 18 Premier League appearances for Palace least season but was largely sidelined under Sam Allardyce, appearing in only one matchday squad after February 4.

Ledley was in impressive form as Wales secured a 1-1 draw in Serbia on Sunday and whilst the 30-year-old has already been receiving declarations of interest he is in no rush to make a decision on his future.

"Clubs have been in contact with my agent. Nothing is confirmed, we will just wait and see," he told BBC Wales.

"I am going to have a great summer with my family and my children and then see the options which I have.

"I am not sure, we'll have to wait and see what happens, see what is in front of me and make the decision from there."

Ledley said of a possible switch away from the Premier League: "It doesn't bother me. I have been there three-and-a-half-years so maybe a new challenge would be good."

Palace confirmed on Friday that 11 of their players would be moving on from Selhurst Park, with Ledly the most notable name on a list that also included Kwesi Appiah, who is joining AFC Wimbledon, Mathieu Flamini and Jonathan Benteke.
