History was made on Sunday as Manchester United Women brought on Karna Solskjaer for her debut.

The daughter of legendary player and former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they became the first father-daughter duo in history to represent the club.

A forward to have impressed in the U23 set-up, Solskjaer entered the fray in place of Ivan Fuso for the final few minutes of United’s 2-0 win over Bridgwater United in the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup.

Hayley Ladd and Ella Toone both scored as United avoided an upset and progressed into the next round after manager Marc Skinner selected a strong starting XI for the tie.

Solskjaer senior had been pictured around the club for the first time since his sacking following a 4-1 defeat away at Watford in November and was in attendance at Fairfax Park to watch his daughter make her debut alongside his wife.
