Today in the Premier League, Chelsea aim to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League when they travel to Hull, and QPR face Everton at Loftus Road.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard had to settle for a place on the bench in his final appearance against arch-rivals Manchester United as manager Brendan Rodgers named an unchanged side at Anfield.

Joining Gerrard among the substitutes were midfielder Lucas Leiva, back in the squad for the first time in seven weeks after a groin injury, and striker Mario Balotelli after illness.

United's £59.7million record signing Angel di Maria was also named among the substitutes as Louis van Gaal kept faith with the same 11 who beat Tottenham last weekend.
