Olivier Giroud appears to have distanced himself from a possible Arsenal exit by professing his loyalty to the club.
The French international’s future at the Emirates appears to be in doubt as Arsenal put the finishing touches on a club record deal for Alexandre Lacazette, who is set to complete a move from Lyon worth over £50million in the coming days.
Giroud expressed his frustration last season at being confined to the bench behind Alexis Sanchez and regular starting opportunities are unlikely to improve with the arrival of Lacazette.
West Ham, Everton and Lyon are all interested in the 30-year-old, whom Arsenal would be willing to let go should he press for an exit.
However Giroud has endeavoured to dampen their expectations, insisting he still believes there is more he can achieve at Arsenal.
“I won a few titles in my career, that is an important thing, but there is another thing which is important for me,” Giroud said on the Arsenal Weekly podcast.
“And that's [that] the people [see you as a] loyal warrior on the pitch - that you always give your best for the team.
“And that's why I want to carry on my good journey at Arsenal and I always want to give my best.
“I would love to win another title, or maybe more until the end of my contract. The motivation is here, always doing your best to make your family proud.”
Giroud signed a new contract in January that will run until 2019 and would command for a fee of at least £20m.
That would be comfortably within the means of both Everton and West Ham, while the latter are prepared to match or even exceed his £100,000-a-week wages.
