David Moyes conceded that West Ham's first-half setup against Manchester United did not work, but says he wouldn't have approached Sunday night’s Premier League clash differently if given the chance.

West Ham failed to manage a shot in the first half at Old Trafford before Craig Dawson's own goal settled the game shortly after the restart.

Moyes changed shape at half-time and then sent on Manuel Lanzini and Said Benrahma which livened the Hammers up, but it was not enough to avoid a 1-0 defeat.

"Disappointed that we have lost but parts of the game we played OK and other parts we didn't," Moyes told Sky Sports.

"The way we set up maybe didn't quite work. We changed it a bit at half-time and again later on. It improved it a little bit. Manchester United grew into the game and caused us problems.

"I wanted to try and change it. We never really got up when we broke. Our breaks were really poor tonight. I've only just been told it was actually an own goal. Tonight it wasn't our night."

Asked if he would have changed anything in hindsight, Moyes said: "No. No."
