Chelsea face serious competition in their bid to land Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, according to Saturday's newspapers.

Antonio Conte has pinpointed the France international as one of his primary targets as he prepares to take control of the Blues after Euro 2016.

Speaking about a possible move for Pogba, the player's agent said this week: “It is not a secret. Every year I meet with Madrid, but also with United, Barcelona, City, Liverpool, Chelsea.

“It’s my job. In the last two years my relationship with Real Madrid is again clear and professional.

“Now there is serious dialogue, it’s positive. They know my character and how I am.”

But Manchester United have reportedly stolen a march in an attempt to land their former player, with Jose Mourinho said to have opened talks over a £97million transfer.
