Arturo Vidal has told reporters in Italy he will not be moving to Manchester United this summer.

The 27-year-old, who helped Chile impressively scramble out of Group B at the World Cup finals last month, has been singled out as one of Louis van Gaal's top targets.

Vidal last week said he would take a break before deciding his future and still maintains he could leave Juventus in the current window.

But he has moved to end talk of a move to Manchester.

"I do not go to Manchester. Can I say I will remain with Juve? I don’t know," the midfielder told reporters after landing in Turin.

"I’ll talk to (Massimo) Allegri on Monday and then we will see. I haven’t spoken with Allegri or any of my team-mates yet, but I’m not going to Manchester."

But the saga is far from concluded as reports in Italy continue to link the Chile international with both Arsenal and Liverpool.
