Borussia Dortmund have confirmed talks with Manchester United over Jadon Sancho took place, but both club and player were not interested in a move.

As reported by Standard Sport in March, United have been interested in former Manchester City forward Sancho for some time and were keen to sign the England international during the summer window.

United were willing to pay as much as £80m for Sancho and a new documentary series 'Inside Borussia Dortmund', apart of Amazon's 'All or Nothing' series, has confirmed talks between the clubs took place.

In scenes filmed in March, Dortmund sporting director Micheal Zorc meets with club chiefs Matthias Sammer, Sebastian Kehl and chairman Hans-Joachim Watzke to discuss United's interest in Sancho.

"A hot topic right now is Sancho and Manchester United," Zorc said.

"Both his discussions with the club and mine with the consultants. A meeting did take place. Manchester United invited the consultant.

"But, according to what I know, the consultant told the club that no matter how much money they offer, we won’t let him go this summer.

"But the player also has no intention of taking that step this summer."
